I created this application because I read a lot of tech news and I was not happy with any of the news apps out there - and I have tried them all.

Most news apps either publish news from a particular tech site, a group of sites, or are RSS readers which are difficult for non techy people. I have tried Flipboard and Pulse, they are great eye candy, but they dont have the depth or breadth in terms of real tech news from around the Internet.

This app will get you the best tech news from all over the internet. Everything is ranked by popularity both in terms of content and in terms of interest generated from social networks like Facebook and Twitter. I bring together news from all the major tech news sites in a unified manner.

If you register, we keep track of read articles and hide them. So, you always have fresh news on your page, unlike your having to go to different sites and refresh the page and wait for new articles to come through.

This app works on both iPhone, iPod and iPad as native app. It has the best link sharing interface when compared to any other app. It even works on the desktop or any other device from our site: todayamerican.com. You can start reading on any device and continue reading from anywhere else.

In addition there are several features we have carefully added over time:

1. Complete full screen reading without any menus.

2. You can continue reading on your desktop, what you started reading on the iPhone. It works on all major browsers like Chrome, Safari, etc.

3. Did you know this works great with iPad as well?

4. No Ads from us!

5. Share news via Facebook, Twitter, email or iMessage with the screenshot of the page you are sharing.

6. This runs on top of a website, it wont drain your battery because all the heavy duty work happens on the cloud.

I continuously update the service all the time, so as long as there are people who use the app, there will always be service. I have built this app and hosted it since 2006. I use it daily myself and constantly update it.

I am passionate about tech news because I use it for light reading and sometimes I read very interesting news before most people hear about it. This is not about making money or selling this app - this is an attempt to build a news app which people will genuinely like, and is simple to use. This is not something which is bloated and has hundred features none of which work very well. I have tried very hard to keep this as minimal as possible, even removing features so that it is simple to use for anyone.

I will keep improving it over time.
